By learning about the challenges associated with the traditional analog, water-seal systems, Medela designed Thopaz+ Digital Chest Drainage and Monitoring System to increase patient mobility and safety, decrease the need for intensive monitoring by healthcare professionals, and strengthen clinical confidence by streamlining the delivery of care.

Integration into Product Development

By hearing new parent concerns around pacifier use, we created Medela Baby pacifiers in collaboration with dentists and speech-language pathologists to support the natural muscle movement of the mouth and tongue.
