Medela Asia Pacific Breastfeeding and Lactation Symposium 2018

On 3rd & 4th of May 2018 Medela Australia hosted their third Symposium. Traditionally, this event created an ideal platform to enhance knowledge and clinical practice through presentations of the latest research in breastfeeding and human milk. Together with an audience of breastfeeding champions our program offered valuable exchange of thoughts and ideas as well as networking opportunities for regional delegates and international speakers.

Medela hosted a poster art competition ‘Mother’s Milk in Art’ for Australian art and design students as well as an art insallations by Suzie Blake, What Does Breastfeeding Look Like?, which is an anthropological photo study exploring the realities of breastfeeding. This series featured candid black and white photos of mothers breastfeeding at home, on the go and in any other natural circumstance.

Medela Asia Pacific Breastfeeding and Lactation Symposium 2018 was a two day event with a world class line up of speakers, which took place in the Pullman Melbourne On The Park Hotel on 3rd & 4th of May 2018.
